Overview

How do you solve business problems that are cross-functional and there is not a single subject matter expert who has sufficient knowledge about the real causes of the problem? How do you break through the functional silos to obtain a detailed understanding of the current processes and then develop a future state process that involves all departments and gives you the true nature of the problem to be solved?

In this workshop, you will learn the structured Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) approach to problem solving. Also known as the Deming Cycle, the PDCA problem solving process is a technique that is used by Toyota to identify problems, analyze root causes and generate solutions. When combined with the basic quality (“QC”) tools, real causes to business problems can be identified and effective solutions can be put in place to prevent similar problems from recurring in the future.
